Hong Kong Trip 2011 (Introduction)

24 Nov

Hello there!

As mentioned in my first post, I went to Hong Kong for the past one week. It was my first time to Hong Kong. I will be blogging about the places that I had went for shopping and sight-seeing and the food places that I went and ate 🙂

I will first start off with a brief introduction of Hong Kong.

Weather in Hong Kong
It was season autumn turning to winter currently (17th November-23rd November). The weather was quite warm at the beginning, around 25°C till around 19°C . It was getting slightly windy/chilly towards the end of my departure date.

Language in Hong Kong
The primary language spoken is Cantonese. I supposed most of them could speak basic english/chinese too. So if you can’t converse in Cantonese, fear not 🙂

What I observed/ realised in Hong Kong
– Hong Kongers walks really fast

– If you are on a escalator on a stationary position, kindly stand to the right side of the escalator

– You can hail a public light bus anywhere and alight anywhere (just have to let the driver know)

– There are 3 different color cabs. The RED one goes to the city. Make sure you check where you’re going before hailing a cab

– The cafe in Hong Kong requires you to share a table with others. Well sharing is loving yeah

– The shops closes really late, roughly about 11pm on weekdays & 12am on weekends

Hong Kong Day 1 & 2 will be up soon! Look forward to the post where I will be blogging about, regal airport hotel, launtu island & Disneyland! 🙂
