Bangkok Travel log 2012- Day 1 (Flight & Hotel)

2 Feb

Hi there!

Before I start on this travel log, I have to say that not as much pictures were taken for this trip as my previous post because we were mainly busy shopping at different areas so pardon me if there are more words than pictures alright? 🙂

So to begin my day 1 journey, we took Scoot Airline for this trip. Some of you would have know that Scoot, is a rather new budget airline, part of a family of SIA. We booked this trip for S$180, inclusive of all taxes and additional 20kg baggage add-on. To find out more about the places they fly and the prices, you can check out here: http://www.flyscoot.com/index.php/en/

So flyscoot we go!

Here’s a picture of me at Singapore Changi Airport

Personally, I feel that the seat are pretty spacious, or at least better than Tiger airways. Look at the space I have!

And what else can you do on plane other than taking pictures right?

The hotel we stayed at this trip was recommended by my friend Charmaine. She stayed here before and its pretty nice and decent. The hotel we stayed was Budacoo Hotel. It’s about 10mins walk from Platinum Mall and just 2 streets away from Baiyoke Sky Hotel. Overall, I really enjoyed the stay there. The staff was helpful and nice. The room was decent and comfortable for stay. We paid around S$40 for 6nights stay, so it’s really worth it.

When we arrive, there was a welcome drink and a towel for us to wipe our hands.

Here’s their lobby.

One of the key characteristics of budacco is that each of the room has different colour themes. We got a YELLOW room! Even though it’s not huge but it’s sufficient for us to place our three luggage and to sleep and shower.
